Module 2 is based on Cycle 2 of the EmpoweerNEET training in Lebanon, which focused on social entrepreneurship and community problem-solving.

What you will learn. By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • explain the principles of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and how it differs from traditional business;
  • identify and analyse a specific challenge in your community and the opportunities it holds;
  • use the “5 Whys” technique to separate symptoms from root causes;
  • design your own Problem Statement & Early Solution Concept.

Inside the module: six sections (Foundations of the SSE · Mission-driven entrepreneurship · Social impact · Community challenges and opportunities · Root causes · Your output), short videos, and the story of FabricAID, a Lebanese social enterprise that turns clothing waste into affordable clothing.

What you will produce: your Problem Statement & Early Solution Concept.

Time and language: about 60 minutes, plus optional “Go deeper” content, in English.
